To all and sundry including but not limited to those are who are members of the 12 Tribes at Maningrida and the surrounding country.
I have been informed that meetings are being planned for when I arrive back at Maningrida. Neither I nor any other authorised Elder/s have given instruction nor consent for this meeting to take place and we deny any other persons of entities especially balanda people, any right to take any action in respect of convening or administering any meeting in respect of the concerned Tribes without our consent and instruction to do so.

This is Yolngu Tribal business.

We have obtained advice in respect of this matter and we reserve our rights including the inalienable right to manage our own affairs including but not limited to those matters relating to lands, resources and waters, and the protect Arnhem Land campaign.
We Yolngu people encourage and welcome the support from balanda, but we ask that they do not interfere and take over. Balanda can speak when they are given permission.
